The new regional council was formed in 2004 and covers the greater Tamworth region which includes the Manilla district previously governed by Manilla Shire. TRC is 100% behind the event and is supporting with organisational assistance, HQ hire and most importantly via the creation of a Section 355 Comittee with a budget of A$118,000.00 to conduct the Town logistics side of the event (Opening Ceremony, Parade, Town Square, Closing ceremony and street party).

Flight analysis and verification software used in the event is supplied by COMPEGPS - the worlds leading free flight software for competitions and pilots.

Telstra Country Wide provides a range of telecommunicaions products and services to country Australia including “BigPond” broadband internet and the new “Next G” 3rd generation mobile phone service. It's New England-North West regional branch headed by manager Elise Munsie will provide the BigPond Broadband services and connection for the event HQ cyber cafe and offices.
Local businessman Ian Webb operates the Harvey Norman Computer Super Store in Tamworth. His business will be providing the computer hardware for the Pilot CyberCafe and Event Office at HQ via numerous laptop and desktop PC's. In addition to this a digital photo processing service will be available with discount vouchers and prizes for Team members. A key sponsor of prizes the event photographic competiton (digital camera's, media, MP3 players etc).
